Tweets From God – It’s impossible to go on with me and stay where you are right now! -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Many times in life we come to a cross road and we’re left to decide, resist change or take a leap of faith. It’s an uncomfortable feeling because it means leaving our comfort zone, the familiar. Change is scary and because of this we tend to straddle the line giving way to compromise. The thing is, you can’t move forward with one foot in the past.

Philippians 3:13b I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.

Will you dare to move forward today? He’ll be with you every step of the way.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly before ME. -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you
Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion),
And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness].

As I read this I was struck by the last phrase, “walk humbly with your God.” I think all to often as we read this portion of the text we gloss over it without truly grasping its meaning. There is a depth to this meaning of which we are called. Thinking over the phrase, I was continually drawn to Enoch and so I began to study about him. In doing so I came across a blog post by a retired minister who so clearly articulated my feelings and thoughts I decided to share it here. I hope it blesses you.

Blog Post By Kirk M. At Christianblog.Com

We all grow comfortable with things the longer we use them. We all grow comfortable with people the longer we know them. The same could be said regarding our walk with God. The longer we do it, the more comfortable we become and the more intimate we are with God.

In scripture walking with God refers to our manner of life and how we conduct ourselves. There are in the Bible four men of whom it is said “walked with God”. I believe it would be highly beneficial for us to meet these four gentlemen and understand a little about them and what they did that earned them this special distinction of being someone who walked with God.

As great as Moses, David, Paul and Peter were; the Bible never specifically states that they “walked with God” (even though we know they did). Three of these four men lived before the Law was given to Moses and thus lived during the time of so-called “unwritten law”.

In Genesis 5:21-24 we see the first man who walked with God:

“And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”

Enoch has the distinction of being the first man who walked with God. It should be noted that in the Hebrew, the word “walked” implies a habitual walking and not just a step here or there. Enoch walked with God for 300 years after the birth of Methuselah. Most of us have problems walking with God for 300 seconds.

All we know from Genesis is that Enoch was 65 when Methuselah was born and he lived another 300 years and “God took him”. This phrase does nothing but generate questions, with wondering where God took him being at the top of the list. Obviously God did something for Enoch which was unique and entirely special for him.

As much as we would like to know more about Enoch, it is not found in Genesis for the above verses are all that is written about him. The only other information we can find that would shed some light on what Enoch did which caused God to say he walked with Him and precipitated God “taking him” is found in Hebrews 11:5:

“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Without getting all technical, the world ‚‚¬‚Å “translated” would be better understood to be “transferred” or “transported”. Enoch pleased God by walking with Him and as a result God transported him to heaven so he would not see death. How do we please God? Verse 6 tells us:

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

So, as we wrap up looking at the first man who walked with God, we see that it was Enoch who not only walked with Him but pleased Him because he diligently sought Him in faith. There is so much we can learn from Enoch even though there is very little written about him. Whatever he did and however he lived, two things are for certain. Enoch walked with God and he pleased God.

What greater two things could we ever strive for in this life than to be as Enoch and walk with our God and please Him through our absolute faith in Him.

——-

I was challenged by the word “walk” implying a habitual walking and not just a step here or there. This type of walking requires commitment, it requires trust, and a lot of times it requires blind faith which is why I love how the writer referenced Hebrews 11:6. This verse as a little girl was my favorite and yet till today I had yet to fully grasp all that is required to truly have an unrelenting faith and to diligently seek Him. It’s a life of surrender, not my will but your will be done and trusting His will is best. When we don’t follow His lead we settle for second best. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want an Ishmael, I want my promise even if it doesn’t come when how I think it should.

Maybe this to is your hearts desire but you like me have trouble trusting, may I leave a song and encourage you to do as it says, you wont be disappointed.

The Dreams I Dream For You – Avalon

You taste the tears
You’re lost in sorrow
You see your yesterdays
I see tomorrow
You see the darkness
I see the spark
You know your failures
But I know your heart
(Chorus:)
The dreams I dream for you
Are deeper than the ones you’re clinging to
More precious than the finest things you knew
And truer than the treasures you pursue
Let the old dreams die
Like stars that fade from view
Then take the cup I offer
And drink deeply of
The dreams I dream for you
You see your shame
But I see your glory
You’ve read one page
I know the story
I hold a vision
That you’ll become
As you grow into the truth
As you learn to walk in love
(Chorus)
Let the old dreams die
Like stars that fade from view
Then take the cup I offer
And drink deeply of
The dreams I dream for you
Correct these lyrics

He’s dreaming for you, be blessed!

Tweets From God – I love you and I have wonderful plans for your life… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.

It’s only a season, the short and simple phrase whispered in my spirit. Sometimes we forget, I forgot. You see God isn’t withholding the blessing. He releases the blessing with the answer of a yes in accordance to the seasons of our lives. He answers line upon line, precept upon precept until the fulfillment of the promise is accomplished in our lives.

The deferring of of one promise is to accomplish another in our lives lest one promise cancel out another. One promise builds upon another. The cultivation of a promise takes time.

Think about it, some of the least inhabitable places are those which fail to experience all of the seasons. The clearest of example is that of a desert. Little if anything grows in the desert and promises require our spiritual growth in order to have the capacity to receive them . If we are to grow we must be willing to experience the seasons.

So whatever season you are facing know it is not without purpose. He has wonderful plans for your life.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – Just wanted to say goodnight… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Each night before my head hits the pillow I sneak in and take one last peak of my kiddos and tuck them in. As I stand there and stare at them intently in awe they are mine I study their features and wonder what they will grow to be. These are precious times and I’m overwhelmed with love for them knowing they are a part of me, they are mine.

I see all to often photos of other peoples kiddos captured during similar sacred moments and can’t help but think how our father in heaven who knitted us together in our mothers very womb must do the same. Do you know how special and cherished you are? Take some time today and read Psalms 134, you wont be sorry.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – How many times did I tell you not to do that? -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

My husband had a chihuahua named Yoda when We first got married. I absolutely loved him. He passed a few years ago, but still holds a a very special place in our hearts. He had an adorable little personality and even when he was being “bad” he couldn’t help but look cute. He had this sweet little way of inching out with his paw toward something he wanted when you’d tell him to stay. He just couldn’t resist.

I know this is a “cute” story, but I couldn’t help of thinking how this illustrates our hearts sometimes, “staying” when told but inching out with our hearts ever so slightly towards our own desires.

The truth is, we can obey, yet still disobey if our hearts don’t align with our actions. That’s why every so often we feel this repeated tug in our hearts despite our “thinking” we’re walking in obedience. It’s His telling us ever so kindly, don’t do it.

It isn’t even necessarily that our desires are wrong in nature, it’s a matter of whether or not your hearts affections surpass our affections for Him.

Will you check your heart today?

I John 5:21 Amp

Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)–[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be).

Tweets From God – When u call, I’ll be there… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Psalms 91:15 When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.

I love this tweet. It reminded me of all the different State Farm Commercials where they show people in harms way and then all of a sudden they call their insurance agency and “poof” they come to the rescue. I especially love the buffalo commercial where two guys are stuck in a car with buffalo charging at them and when the insurer arrives he says, sing it again, sing it again, and so they sing the famous jingle, “like a good neighbor, state farm is there” adding, “in my office” in which case they are teleported to the office.

Though funny in nature, I think this is a great depiction of just what exactly Christ does for us. We call on Him and He rescues us and plucks us up from the mire. If you find yourself in a sticky situation, won’t you call on Him today?

Blessings!

Tweets from God – MY Grace Forgiveness is not earned or deserved. U cnt work 4 it nor cn U B gd enuff. its a present. Now let that truth get all ovr U! -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Ephesians 2:8-9Amplified Bible (AMP)

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].

Another definition of grace is, the ability to do what you can’t do in and of yourself.

In other words, He Jesus, did only what He could do through His sacrifice on the cross. There was no other way, for in the garden that dreadful night He said, if there be any other way take this cup from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. A second time He prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done. And a third time, saying the same thing once more.

He asked crying aloud in angst till He bled, not once, not twice, but three times for His cup to be taken from Him yet it was not. Why is it then we strive to earn His love and forgiveness. We’ve got to stop this, as when we do, it’s as if His dying was for not. We don’t have to earn it. There is nothing we can do to deserve it. We just need to accept it. He made His decision long ago on the cross and died for you and me while we were yet in sin. It is finished!

Blessings!

My Blood-n-Fire Experiences – Atlanta, Georgia – 1998-2000

By dustinhedrick

I am recounting stories from Blood-n-Fire Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. This ministry probably had the biggest effect on my life besides encountering GOD at Toronto and Brownsville. It was truly a place where the Presence of GOD met social justice work. This is where I grew the most in my faith life.

Tweets From God – I miss u. -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

If you’ve ever been in a relationship than you know that most go through stages. The first stage of many is infatuation where anything and everything about the person intrigues you and you wait in response to their every move. When they’re not around you, you’re love sick and it’s as if a piece of you is missing. Over time, however, if not careful, one of the other parties will wane in their passion taking for granted the other, the love slowly dissipates, and the longing rescinds. What was passion aflame becomes ashes.

How does this happen, one stops pursuing. The sad part is, He is never the one to stop pursuing, we are. He longs in anticipation to see us return. Those close moments when He’s heard clearest are but moments away if we only return.

Jeremiah 31:3b “I have loved you, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”

Tweets from God – If you believe I can and will answer, ask something of ME! Your belief is found in your asking & your resting in the wait for MY answer -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

The one thing you’re to afraid to ask for is the one thing God is waiting for you to ask so He can answer. Don’t stop asking because He hasn’t answered. If it’s in your heart, keep asking, seeking, and knocking (Matthew 7:7-12). Don’t get restless in the waiting, the answer is for an appointed time. In the end it will all make sense.

Habakkuk 2:3

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

Tweets From God – “I created you to THRIVE not survive…” -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

What does it mean to thrive?

1. To grow (expand and or develop) vigorously, flourish
2. To be successful or make steady progress
3. Increase in stature (respect)

To some this idea of thriving seems impossible because you’ve been in survival mode for far to long, but I’m here to tell you, you are resilient. Resiliency is the ability of something to return to its original shape after it has been pulled, stretched, pressed, bent. The pulling back you feel is but temporal, it will be the momentum that pushes you forward. This is your Joshua moment.

Joshua 1:1-9

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Go inherit your promise.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – When I speak to you and reveal my plans to you, that IS MY INVITATION to join me and move! Don’t wait for a sign, it is the sign! -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Don’t hesitate or you’ll miss it. Sometimes the next directive is just a simple word not necessarily a plan. Going the distance requires simply walking into the unknown to know the one who knows. There is never a perfect time to step out, you just take the first step and trust He’s there to guide your every way. Trust the simple whisper of His voice saying, “this is the way; walk in it (Isaiah 30:21).” Know, “He’s making every crooked path straight (Isaiah 42:16).

Blessings on your day!

Tweets From God – You are more precious to me than you will ever know! -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Psalms 139:17-18b NIV

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.”

I love how the Expanded version ends verse 18, “But when I finished, I would have just begun”

You see David understood the vastness of God’s love for Him. He knew it to be unquantifiable. The problem today is, we don’t know this to be true in our own lives. We mirror the lenses of God’s love with those whom we long to love us but are incapable. We seek out expectations in flawed human beings who fail us and as such our perceptions have been distorted. Will you dare to take off the lenses of past failures, hurts, and disappointments so His love and His plans can shine through? Will you dare to look past the pain and see who is standing behind it all with your new beginning? His thoughts, His ways, His plans are all waiting for you.

Tweets From God – Don’t worry so much about tomorrow… I did not fall off my throne today… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

I’m sharing the below passage of scripture as the other day a good friend of mine was kind enough to reminded me, “focus on the Kingdom.” She went on to say, “in the grand scheme of things, all the distractions and worries of this life that pull away our focus will be of no importance in the Kingdom.” I thought you too might need this reminder. Lets think upwards today. He’s got our backs folks!

Do Not Worry Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – I wish you could just see what I see… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

The circumstances of today do not determine your tomorrow, though the future seems bleak, know His promise is an expectant end (Jeremiah 29:11). In the natural all does not make sense, but know, He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

Though instinct would necessitate action, His ways are not our own (Isaiah 55:8). Resist the desire to take control.

In quietness and trust is your strength (Isaiah 30:15). Don’t be like those who would not have it and in their own selfish pursuits turn to ruin. I like what Matthew Henry’s Commentary said as it relates to Isaiah 30:15, “If men will not repent, turn to God, and seek happiness in his favor and service, their desires will but hasten their ruin. Those who make God alone their confidence, will have comfort. God ever waits to be gracious to all that come to him by faith in Christ, and happy are those who wait for him.”

Don’t be discouraged, wait for His timing, your ever after is coming.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – I never get exhausted. So, when you are a little tired, turn to me… I have an endless supply of energy! -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

You know when you read a passage and God highlight’s certain words in your spirit, this was the case for me today. As I began to focus on the words He was drawing me to and look them up He shed new light on what I was reading. I hope this new insight encourages you as well.

The first thing He highlighted was vs 28b, He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Power as defined by Strong’s Concordance is:

To be firm. Figuratively speaking it means capacity or produce. Additionally, in biblical usage it references strength of angels.

It elaborates on strength as being an extension of power in abundance.

Therefore, with this new found understanding I now know what He gives goes well beyond just power. He makes me firm and established by giving me a solid foundation when I grow weak. Not only that, when I don’t feel I can bare any more He gives me capacity to produce power through the revelation that it isn’t something I can create rather it’s an extension of Him, a grace gift, one of which He gives in abundance. Lastly, I loved the Strong’s referenced to angels, because as I read it I was reminded of how He gives charge of His angels to protect me and keep me. He hedges me about. I am surrounded just as you are, how amazing and glorious.

Secondly, He pointed out vs 31, specifically the word wait and renew.

I want to focus specifically on the word “wait” for a moment because there is breakthrough to those who truly grasp and cling to what I am about to say.

Strong’s defines wait as:

Look for (eagerly), hope, expect, linger for, to bind together.

The important definition here is, to bind together. What does this mean?

I was reminded of the passage which says, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19) Often times when we hear this portion of scripture referenced it’s in terms of spiritual warfare and binding the enemy, HOWEVER part of conquering/defeating the enemy isn’t merely disarming Him. Simply recognizing who’s we are and what we have access to limits the enemy’s hold on our lives. We need to bind and loose God’s spiritual blessings.

Let’s take a look at what binding and loosing mean beyond our normal perception of the words.

As I poured over the definitions in Strong’s and Merriam Webster’s, the word bind took on a whole new meaning to me beyond to simply restrain. It also means:

To put under obligation as with an oath, to make secure/firm as in a commitment, to take hold, to protect or strengthen, to compel with a promise that binds, to set to work as an apprentice; indenture as in refer to a document that has been indented (matched for authentication).

Loose in essence means release.

So as you “wait” for the Lord you are not inactive rather you are waiting in eager expectation and coming into agreement with the things He has already sworn to you as with an oath and holding Him to those words as likened to a contract that is legally binding. This my friends is releasing your faith so that the promise can be loosed rather released. The Lord loves it when we remind Him and hold Him to His word.

Not only that, this type of binding or joining together reminded me of another way we release His promises for His word says, “Truly, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:19-20)

This passage is dealing with sin in the church, but more than that it is dealing with reconciliation, bringing unity where there was disharmony. There is just something about agreeing with God, agreeing with His word, and coming into agreement with one another that the Lord just can’t resist. There is such power in this.

I know I’ve kinda jumped all over the place, but that is what I love about scripture. As we truly seek to understand His word He releases so much more knowledge than we can often comprehend. It’s like a lightbulb switches on and circuits of electricity fire all over the place giving meaning to multiple areas that you normally wouldn’t think the passage touches on. That’s why it’s so important not to get locked in to our routine understanding of scripture, but really study it.

Ok, this post has been long, but lets get to the last word, renew, because what better place to end a post than the word renew; it’s refreshing!

The Strong’s defines it as:

To pass on quickly, pass through, grow up, change for the better, to come on anew, sprout again (of grass).

All of these definitions speaks to a death to something and a birth to something new. Aren’t you excited God isn’t going to leave you where you are, but His pro ise is for something so much better. Don’t get distracted by them temporal things, the uncomfortable things. Remember, “We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame (disappoint), because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5)

Know He is strengthening you today. He has great plans for you, to prosper you and give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Don’t grow weary in well doing, you’re about to reap a harvest (Galatians 6:9). Know, He will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? He will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:19).

Blessings!

Tweets From God – … By the way, I heard that… I hear everything… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity (double mindedness).” (Proverbs 11:3)

Integrity implies trustworthiness and incorruptibility to a degree that one is incapable of being false to a trust, responsibility, or pledge. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) But all to often I find it common place that lies and half truths abound.

Proverbs 12:22 says, “The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy (honest).”

Why is lying so detestable to God, well scripture states satan himself is the father of lies and half truths. Furthermore, he is an angel of light meaning he gives way to deception. (John 8:44b and II Corinthians 11:14 AMP)

Lying at its core is in direct opposition to everything that God is. The word states in Him is light and He is abounding in truth. Furthermore, it states that it is impossible for Him to lie. (Hebrews 6:8)

Proverbs 18:21 states, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Though you may not be speaking death if your words are not life giving they are ultimately to your demise.

James 1:26 says, “Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.” It goes on to say in chapter 3, our words drive the very course of our lives and discusses the importance of taming the tongue and how both blessing and cursing cannot come from the same spring.

The Lord has been really challenging me with all of this as it relates to effectiveness in the kingdom. If we’re to be His mouth piece than we must endeavor to have pure hearts and clean lips before Him.

Pray with me, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” (Psalms 19:14)

Blessings!

Someone’s Calling My Name (Part of Chapter 1)

By dustinhedrick

The Book – Someone’s Calling My Name
(Around 1981)

When I was in something like first or second grade I had an happening. I was playing downstairs with my toys. And it’s nothing I’ve done new was like I had done a million times before. However this time was different. As I was playing I heard an adult call my name. As a child you really don’t think about whether or not it’s your mom or dad’s voice when you hear an adult and there’s only one adult around you assume it’s them. So after hearing this authoritative loud voice calling, “Dustin,” I ran upstairs to see what mom wanted because she was the only adult around.

When I got to mom I asked her what you want mom? She said I didn’t call you go play. I went right back downstairs and played with my toys. All of a sudden I heard the voice again saying Dustin. I ran back upstairs and asked my mom why she called me. Looking back at it I can tell you that I did not hear a woman’s voice. However again as a child you run to what you know. My mom asked me Dustin is God calling your name? Knowing that it wasn’t actually her I said yes. And then she sat me down and told me about the story of Samuel. After telling me the story of Samuel she told me that Jesus wanted my heart. She asked me if I like that said Jesus is Lord and Savior. And she let me to Jesus right there in the living room. Afterwards she dedicated my life to the Lord. And after some experiences later in life for you read about here I had asked you forgotten the story until I was in college. God bring the story back to my memory while in college was one of the key things that spurred me on to be a passionate God seeker. I knew God knew me by name and that he cared about me and that for him to call my name like that he must have a really important plan for the rest of my life. But for about 13 years I forgot. I may have forgotten this story and other ones like it due to trauma in my third-grade year however I did not forget God.

Tweets From God – ……softheartedness, humility and love look so great on you… -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

Colossians 3:12-14, ESV Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Do we always get this right, no, which is why I love just a few verses back in verse 10 is says, all of this is a result of the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it (Amplified Version).

How comforting to know the potters hands are continually reshaping us into His image and likeness and refining those rough places in our lives. Don’t resist the remolding of the Spirit and never forget this journey is a process.

Blessings!

Tweets From God – There is no closed door I cannot open. -GOD

By Ashley Shepherd

As I read this tweet, it was impressed upon my heart that someone may be in a season of barrenness right now and feel as though all hope is lost. I know this is a sensitive subject and as such my heart weighs heavy as I type these words. I pray I do not cause offense or additional hurt. My desire is to arouse a hope in your heart that He can make a way when there seems to be no way. I don’t know who this is for, but I just want to let you know He’s opening a door to new possibilities and resources to see your promise through for He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think.

Blessings!
